Hello Friends!
I’m Fionna, a product manager, YouTuber and late-night FM DJ.
Every Sunday (not this month 😅) I share a story on what inspires me to be creative and musings that week. I’m fascinated by design, technology, people, languages, and the idea that I can use them to reinvent myself.
You will find that I express myself through different languages, witty mEmeS and impeccable formatting. Want more content like this in your inbox?

After some time in Toronto, I’m now back in Seattle living the life when quarantine first started. Streets look the same and people are still wearing masks, but things are definitely getting better and the possibility of social activities are somewhat … imaginable.
Right before I left, I was recording myself practicing French by sharing stories of my day in French. I was on a roll and built a proper setup with lights, cameras and backdrop.
Then I went home… and the pace slooooowed 🐢.
When I’m in Seattle, I’m constantly looking for things to do or new places to explore. Being at home, there is a sense of comfort, warmth, and flat-out sluggishness 🥱 that kept me inside 24/7. It also didn’t help that Toronto was in lock down 90% of the time I was there.
My attention shifted to online media.
I started watching and reading about anything and everything. (Exhibit A | Exhibit B). During this time, I also stopped recording these videos in French and journaling altogether. The days felt long and short at the same time. Even when something significant happened, I didn’t bother to take note of it because it just felt routine and negligible.
Disclaimer: Mom, if you are reading 👋 - this feeling only applies to my creativity. I had the best quality time with you and I wouldn’t exchange anything for it ❤️.
If I lived like this for months (sans family), I would most definitely have gone mad. Thanks to the catch-ups with friends and this newsletter. I was able to find an outlet - a creative outlet (you see what I did here 😉) to share what’s on my mind and the rare-enthusiastic-feeling-post-2020 to find a new medium to explore.
All in all, this is to say that I’m back and more excited than ever to divert my energy to things that bring me joy while away from family. One is vlogging and being with likeminded friends.
It took me a few days to get settled and I started vlogging the first Friday back. Please enjoy the latest vlogs I made in Seattle!

Feeling overwhelmed while cleaning out my closet 😣😖😫 it dawned on me that I can create a systematic way to decide what stays and what goes. Yes, Notion will make an appearance 😉
How is your quarantine going? What’s the biggest change you faced? Biggest realization? Decision? Regret? Passion?
Whatever it is that you want to do, It’s not too late to start, and I’m all ears!
If you found this amusing in anyway, I’d love it if you could share it with a friend or on social media - whichever floats your boat :)
